YOUTHphonics A Cappella is UCLA’s community service a cappella group focused on music and mentorship. YP works to make a reliable music curriculum accessible to Los Angeles youth, raising awareness about the importance of music education programs in schools. We are committed to fostering joy, community, and musicality in and out of the classroom.

YOUTHphonics is a student run, all gender, community service based acapella group here at UCLA! In addition to volunteering our voices for community events, we teach a Music Education class at Fairfax High School every Friday. This program was started in effort to provide music lessons and theory to high schoolers who do not have access to music education programs. We arrange and perform primarily pop music covers and we meet 2-3 times a week to rehearse in addition to our weekly site visits to Fairfax High School. Some examples of past performances and community service we've done have been: performing at Dance Marathon, Disneyland, caroling at Ronald Reagan Hospital, Bruin Run/Walk, singing the National Anthem at UCLA Basketball games, and many more!
